Sugar gliders are curious, intelligent animals. They require stimulation on a regular basis. In nature, Sugar gliders live in colonies, where they interact with one another, forage for foods, climb from branch to branch, and interact with other animals. In captivity, they no longer have as the same stimuli available. It's up to you, as the caretaker and provider, to compensate for this loss. You can do so, by interacting with your Sugar glider on a daily basis, and providing him(her) with a stimulating environment. Providing a stimulating environment, means adding accessories to your pets' cage, such as branches, nesting areas, toys and tunnels. Change the lay-out of the accessories on a regular basis, change the toys, move the branches, and fine unique ways to allow your Sugar glider to use it's brain. Your Glider cannot do these things for himself, you must supply the accessories, and position them. This is extremely helpful when you are not present for long periods of time (at work, school, shopping etc.) When your Gliders are alone, provide them with products for stimuli.
