When adding mealworms to your Sugar glider's diet, it is strongly suggested to add a 'no-phosphorus' calcium supplement to the food, such as 'Glider-Cal'(see below). live mealworms are high in phosphorus which partially blocks calcium absorption, a 'no-phosphorus' calcium supplement will compensate for the loss of absorption. Feed mealies as bonding treats, and as a protein supplement. We recommend 10-15 medium size mealworms, or 7-8 Giant mealworms everyday.

Live Arrival Guarantee:

Live mealworms orders are shipped Mon. -Fri. All live mealworm orders typically ship using Priority mail service.(2 business day delivery time). During Fall/Winter months ... we may use UPS Ground service, depending on the delivery location, but during the Spring and Summer, we only use Priority Mail Service. Please select the shipping method PRIORITY MAIL if live mealworms are part of your order. You must have your live mealworm order shipped to a place where it can be received and cared for upon delivery. We can not guarantee live delivery if your order was left outside because no one was around to receive it, or if it was left in a mailbox for an extended period. We cannot guarantee live delivery if the temperatures in your area are above 80 degrees F, or below 32 degrees F, at the time of delivery or if the temperatures are going to be 80 degrees or above, or 32 degrees or below at the delivery location. If your worms do not arrive to you alive, you must contact us with-in 24 hours of delivery time, and meet the above guarantee restrictions, in order to file a claim for replacement worms. We cannot make exceptions to this policy. In the case of DOA mealworms, we will replace the worms at no charge, but shipping costs will be added to the replacement order. We are not responsible for carrier problems or delays. Claims due to carrier mistakes or delay must be handled through the carrier, not The Sugar Glider Superstore.
