Keeping Your Mealworms Alive

Keeping Your Mealworms AliveMealworms are a fantastic way of providing both nutritional and dietetic diversity. We keep them well fed with vitamin packed Exotic Nutrition's mealworm bedding/feed and Mealworm Chow, so they deliver the highest nutritional value. Mealworms are extremely easy to keep. Just store them in your refrigerator at 45-50 degrees F. where they go into a dormant state and last for months (6-10 weeks). We suggest that you remove the mealworms from the refrigerator once per week, feed them Mealworm Bedding/Keeper along with Mealworm Chow and raw potatoes or raw carrots for moisture (you can also use Thirsty Cricket for moisture). Allow the mealworms to feed for 24 hours at room temp., then remove any uneaten food, and place them back into the refrigerator for long term storage.
